Circular Pathways Program
Your next career chapter starts with real experience
The Waste Not Spot’s Circular Pathways Program connects career-changers with hands-on circular economy projects.
You build legit experience, period.
No fee. Real projects. All sectors & skill levels.
The Gap
You want that job, but you don’t have the experience. To get the experience, you need that job. See the problem?
TWNS’s Circular Pathways Program fills the gap between your theoretical knowledge and the experience and confidence you need to land that role or start out on your own.

Circular Pathways Program
Is this for you?
You’re here because you want a career in circularity in order to make progress on achieving a more sustainable world.
You’re either a recent grad, a career changer, sustainability-curious or someone working in the field looking to build on their skills.
You’re drawn to circularity, BUT, you don’t yet have the work history to prove it. The Circular Pathways Program changes that.

Options for your project are nearly endless. You can choose to focus on business development or jump into one of our many projects on the go and work alongside a number of our partners.
Endless sounds scary, but don’t be alarmed. At the end of the day, we’ll develop your project together so that it meets the skills and experience that will serve you best in your career journey.
Typical Project Timelines
Projects can range anywhere from 1 week - 8 weeks (or more depending). This is completely based on your availability and chosen project.
What you’ll walk away with
-
No more chicken and egg situation. You’ve got the theoretical knowledge AND the right experience to land that dream job.
-
No generic “volunteer'“ labels here. Your role title is designed around the skills you’re developing, the project you’re championing, and the kind of sustainability career you want to build.
-
Your work deserves to be seen, and so do you! Contributors are recognized through LinkedIn features, newsletter project updates, reports, presentations, podcast mentions, or partner communications.
-
No more saying “I’m passionate about sustainability” without proof to back it up. You’ll finish the program with a tangible portfolio piece linked to a real project, ready to share on LinkedIn, attache to job applications, proudly send to future collaborators. (Don’t forget to send it to mum & dad to stick on the fridge! Never too old…)
-
Finish the program and leave with someone genuinely in your corner. Participants who successfully complete their project may receive a testimonial for LinkedIn, their website, future applications, or act as a professional reference when opportunities come knocking.
-
You’re not doing this alone! Join a growing community of people passionate about sustainability, circularity, and creating real impact for the world. Connect with fellow Pathways participants, share ideas, ask questions, collaborate on projects, and discover opportunities along the way.
